Pakistan Cricket Team is all set to face South Africa in the upcoming match of the World Cup 2023 at Chennai.

According to various reports, Pakistan team can have around two to three changes in the playing XI of the Pakistan team for the match against South Africa.

The three players from the previous playing Xi, who are not certain for inclusion in the next game are Hassan Ali, Imam Ul Haq, and Usama Mir.

  • The right-arm pacer of Pakistan, Hassan Ali has been ruled out of the game vs South Africa as he is suffering from fever and he won’t be a part of the playing XI.
  • Furthermore, right-arm pacer Wasim Jnr is also expected to be included in the playing XI if Pakistan decides to go with two spinners against South Africa.
  • Another inclusion that is expected is of the opening batsman, Fakhar Zaman which is not confirmed but in case, he is declared fit, he might replace Imam Ul Haq in the Pakistan team.
  • Muhammad Nawaz who missed the last game against Afghanistan has recovered from fever and will be available for selection in the upcoming game.

The inclusion of Wasim or Nawaz will be based on team combination whether the team wants to go with two spinners or three spinners. A possibility is that Muhammad Nawaz can be included in place of Usama Mir to strengthen the batting.

Out of Nawaz, Usama, and Wasim, two bowlers will be a part of the playing XI tomorrow. The team management will decide on the fate of Wasim Jnr and Nawaz depending on the behavior of the pitch tomorrow.
