Aqib Javed Picks Shaheen As The New Captain, Rates Babar Azam As An Ordinary Player:

Pakistan cricket team has lost three consecutive matches in the ICC World Cup 2023 so far and former cricketers are now questioning the captaincy of Babar Azam as well.

The former Pakistani cricketer and current Head Coach of Lahore Qalandars, Aqib Javed has demanded a new captain for the Pakistan team and he believes that Shaheen Afridi is a player who can play an aggressive brand of cricket.

‘’ A captain makes a decision on his own. After the World Cup, they have to decide on a new captain who will have a new vision for the team. A player who will inject aggression into the team ‘’, Aqib Javed on Pakistan’s new captaincy.

Aqib Javed has also criticized Babar Azam’s decision-making as captain and suggested Shaheen Afridi as the new captain and praised Shaheen’s captaincy skills in the Pakistan Super League for Lahore Qalandars.

‘’ People will criticize me for naming Shaheen Shah but for me reason is that the way Shaheen Afridi won two back-to-back finals for Lahore Qalandars. He made such decisions in the PSL which an ordinary player like Babar Azam cannot even think of ‘’, he concluded.

There is no doubt that the left-arm pacer of the Pakistan team, Shaheen Afridi has performed well as captain in the Pakistan Super League as he has won two consecutive PSL titles as the captain of the PSL franchise, Lahore Qalandars.
