ASIA CUP 2023 SCHEDULE, VENUES, FORMAT, AND OTHER DETAILS - Cricket Asia Cup 2023

Asia Cup is a tournament organized by the Asian Cricket Council (ACC), its first season was played way back in 1983 for the deployment and promotion of cricket in Asian countries, after the first season this tournament is organized almost every year according to the FTP of all the Asian teams to find the best team of Asia. This is the 16^Th Edition of the ACC Asia Cup that is scheduled to play this year, and the details are as following;

Cricket Asia Cup 2023 Format:

Asia Cup is a tournament that is played in two formats (ODIs & T20Is), depending upon the next ICC tournament scheduled which also helps the Asian teams to prepare against each other for the ICC tournament coming up ahead and based on this criteria the Asia Cup 2023 will be held in ODi format because there is an ICC Cricket World Cup scheduled to be played this year and this Asia Cup will help all Asian teams for their preparation.

Cricket Asia Cup 2023 Hosting Rights:

The hosting rights of the Asia Cup 2023 have been given to Pakistan this year after a long time as is one of the biggest achievements of the Pakistan Cricket Board to convince ACC on giving Pakistan the right to host Asia Cup 2023.

Cricket Asia Cup 2023 venue:

As we mentioned earlier that the Pakistan Cricket Board has won the hosting rights of Asia Cup 2023 and Pakistan is all set to host Asia Cup 2023 but the biggest problem, in this case, is the stance of BCCI that they will not tour Pakistan in any scenario which will dent the chances of Pakistan to host Asia Cup in their country and in order to cope with this situation PCB now has to find a way forward.

If we consider Pakistan as the venue for hosting Asia Cup 2023 following can be the 4 venues on which Asia Cup will be played which will be KARACHI, MULTAN, RAWALPINDI, AND LAHORE STADIUMS.

If we think the opposite that UAE will host the Asia Cup 2023 we already know that the stadiums of DUBAI, SHARJAH, AND ABU-DHABI can host the matches of the Asia Cup.

PCB & BCCI STANCE ABOUT ASIA CUP 2023:

After the stance BCCI conveyed that they will not tour Pakistan for Asia Cup, PCB has also decided not to let their honor down this time and if India is not willing to change the their stance on this matter, so following are the options available for the PCB;

PAKISTAN WILL ASIA CUP 2023 AT A NEUTRAL VENUE (i.e. UAE)
PAKISTAN WILL HOST THE TOURNAMENT WITHOUT INDIA

Asia Cup 2023 news:

As per various media reports from India and Pakistan, we have seen that there can be an option that India will play all of their matches in UAE, while as per the hosting rights Pakistan will host the Asia Cup 2023 will all other teams as per planned but it’s not confirmed at the moment so we can’t say anything about this option before the official announcement.
