The captain of the Pakistan team, Babar Azam shines in the Lanka Premier League as he scores his maiden century in Lanka Premier League for Colombo Strikers while chasing the target of 189 runs against Galle Gladiators.

It was Babar Azam’s masterclass at the PALLEKELE as he scored his 10^TH century in T20 cricket, his first century for Colombo Strikers in Lanka Premier League to pull off an exceptional chase for the Colombo Strikers.

Babar Azam was adjusted for the Man of the Match award as well for his innings of 104 runs in the run chase, as he becomes the only player in the history to score a century in a run chase at the Lanka Premier League.

Many top T20 batters from Pakistan have played in this league but this is the first century in Lanka Premier League by any Pakistani batsman ever in the history of the Lanka Premier League, and that came from the bat of Babar Azam.

Babar Azam started the run chase with a bang and never looked back. The captain of the Pakistan team completed his fifty on just 34 deliveries in the run chase and continued his performance scoring his second score of 50+ in the Lanka Premier League for Colombo Strikers.

He scored an exceptional knock of 104 runs off just 59 deliveries, with the help of eight fours and five huge sixes in the run chase for Colombo Strikers.

The Pakistani batter didn’t spare any bowler in the run chase as he thrashed every bowler of Gladiators which include the likes of Richard Ngarava, Tabraiz Shamsi, Dasun Shanka, Kasun Rajitha, Akila Dhananjaya, and Shakib Al Hasan as well.

Babar Azam was caught going for a big shot in the last over of the match when 14 was needed in the final over. Muhammad Nawaz was promoted and he finished the match with one six and a four on consecutive deliveries, to win the match for his team.

Muhammad Nawaz played a match-winning cameo of 14 runs off just 4 deliveries but Babar Azam was the star of the show and was the adjusted as the Player of the Match. He won this award in the first win of Colombo Strikers as well.

Babar Azam’s exceptional knock of 104 runs off just 59 deliveries has helped his team to pull off the third-highest run chase in the history of the Lanka Premier League.

Colombo Strikers have chased down a target of 189 runs in the Lanka Premier League, which is the third-highest chase in the tournament – the highest chase in the tournament is 204 runs, followed by 194 runs.
