Babar Azam Should Be Sacked If Pakistan Doesn’t Win World Cup 2023 – Sikandar Bakht

Sikandar Bakht Believes Babar Azam Should Be Sacked If Pakistan Doesn’t Win World Cup 2023:

The former Pakistani cricketer, Sikandar Bakht shares his opinions regarding the captaincy of Babar Azam and demands the removal of Babar Azam, if he doesn’t win the World Cup 2023.

Bakht points out the tournaments such as World Cups, Asia Cups, and PSL in which Babar Azam was the captain of the team but he could not win the trophy.

Sikandar Bakht believes that Babar Azam has led Pakistan to the semi-final and finals but could not cross the finish line and that’s why World Cup 2023 is the last chance for Babar Azam.

‘’ This World Cup is the final test for these players. They are #1 in the classroom but they fail in Board exams. Babar has lost four trophies as National captain – two World Cups and two Asia Cups, two trophies in PSL, and one U-19 trophy ‘’, Sikandar Bakht on Babar Azam’s captaincy.

While speaking to Geo News, the former Pakistani cricketer believes that if Babar Azam doesn’t perform well in WC23, many players along with Babar Azam should be sacked.

‘’ It is the last chance for him (BABAR). If he didn’t perform well in World Cup 2023 and his players didn’t back him, he should be sacked along with some other players and new young players should be included in the team ‘’, Bakht concluded.

Pakistan played the semi-final of the 2021 T20 World Cup, followed by the Final of the 2022 T20 World Cup under the captaincy of Babar Azam in recent times.

People don’t know but the last time Pakistan won the Asia Cup, it was in 2012 and now people want Babar Azam to win every trophy as captain rather than appreciating him.

The last ODI World Cup which Pakistan won was way back in 1992 and since 2003, Pakistan has only played the semi-final of the ODI World Cup only once, and that was played in 2011.

The 2023 ODI World Cup is scheduled to be played in ODTOBER – NOVEMBER, 2023 in India.
