Pakistan’s New Coaching Staff For Australia And New Zealand Series:
Pakistan Cricket Board has changed the coaching staff of the Pakistan team for the upcoming tours, including the Test series in Australia and T20I series in New Zealand.
Amid Pakistan’s poor performance in the World Cup 2023, Grand Bradburn and Mickey Arthur has been sacked as the head coach and team director of the Pakistan team.
Furthermore, the former cricketer, Inzamam Ul Haq and all-format captain, Babar Azam have already resigned from the post of the chief selector and captaincy of the Pakistan team.
TEAM DIRECTOR OF THE PAKISTAN TEAM:
The former Pakistani cricketer, Muhammad Hafeez has been appointed as the Director of Cricket in the Pakistan Cricket Team, replacing Mickey Arthur in the Pakistan team.
CHIEF SELECTOR OF THE PAKISTAN TEAM:
Pakistan Cricket Board has announced the former Pakistani pacer, Wahab Riaz announced as the Chief Selector of the Pakistan team for the upcoming tours to Australia and New Zealand.
HEAD COACH OF THE PAKISTAN TEAM:
The recently appointed Director of Cricket, Muhammad Hafeez will also continue the role of the Head Coach of the Pakistan team as well as the Team Director of Pakistan on the upcoming tours of Australia and New Zealand.
CAPTAIN OF THE PAKISTAN TEAMS:
Even though Shan Masood is yet to cement his place in the Test team of Pakistan. But, as we know, it is announced by the PCB that Shan Masood will lead the TEST team in PAK vs AUS Test Series. Furthermore, Pakistan is scheduled to play 3-match test series against Australia in DECEMBER – JANUARY, 2024.
The left-arm Pakistani pacer, Shaheen Shah Afridi will lead the T20I team of Pakistan on the New Zealand tour. T20s are scheduled to be played on PAK vs NZ series in JANUARY, 2024.
- FURTHER UPDATES – As per the reports, the former Pakistani cricketer, Younis Khan is also expected to take some coaching role in the Pakistan team after these latest changes.
