The vice-captain of Pakistan’s white ball team says that winning the mega-event is more important to him rather than just winning against India in the upcoming World Cup 2023.

The schedule of the 2023 ODI Cricket World Cup is announced and the blockbuster match between India and Pakistan is all set to take place on OCTOBER 15, 2023 at the end of this year. In an interview with Cricket Pakistan, the vice-captain of Pakistan’s white-ball team, Shadab Khan expressed his views regarding the upcoming World Cup where they will face the arch-rivals. He thinks it will be difficult to face India on their home ground when the crowd will also be on their side, but he thinks winning against India doesn’t matters if we don’t win the World Cup later this year.

‘’ Playing against India comes with a different sense of joy. The pressure in India vs Pakistan game is different. It will be their home ground and the crowd will be against us. We are going to play World Cup is India so we should think about it rather than just one match against India, because if we win against India and couldn’t win the World Cup, it will be of no benefit ‘’, Shadab Khan on India vs Pakistan match.

The premium Pakistani all-rounder, Shadab Khan stated that they are focusing on the bigger picture of winning the World Cup and are on focusing on just one match. The main aim of the Pakistan team is to win the World Cup 2023 in India, and if they got the desired success from the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023, then winning or losing against India doesn’t matters.

‘’ In my opinion, even though we lose against India but if we can end up winning the World Cup, it’s a win-win situation for us because that’s our main aim ‘’, he further added.
