MATCHES – 8

WICKETS – 17

BBI – 5/30

BOWLING AVERAGE – 21

ECONOMY – 4.9

All this happened in very quick time but criticism started on him when he decided to take the retirement from test cricket in JULY 2019, at this time Muhammad Amir was right as stats also spoke in his support that since his come back in international cricket.

He has worked so much and bowled much more overs than any other bowler in all formats of the game but then things got worse when he spoke on media about the unjust treatment from the board and management staff including MISBAH & WAQAR on this decision which resulted in his retirement from international cricket in 2020 which shocked everyone.

Now it’s 2023 in which there are media houses hyping the matter again that left-arm pacer Muhammad Amir will come back to play international cricket as mentioned by Chairman Najam Sethi in a press conference that if Amir is willing to play and his performance is up to mark again.

There will be no objection on his inclusion in the team, subject to his performances and selection by selection committee but as we all know it’s a world cup year and many of our main stray bowlers were injured this year and Pakistan was thrashed badly in home season from top teams.

Last year at our home ground humiliated us which also made this debate relevant that experience has no alternative and with now Muhammad Amir performing in BPL fans again see a hope in this regard that Muhammad Amir will don the green jersey again and will bowl for Pakistan in future …

Muhammad Amir is currently playing BPL in Bangladesh where his performance is top-notch and as hinted by the Chairman Sethi, he has taken 13 wickets in 10 matches he has played in Bangladesh Premier League with an economy of 5.9 in a t20 tournament, his BBI in this season for his team is of 2/7 where he bowled exceptionally well but as there is no international cricket scheduled right now and all eyes are now on PSL 2023.
