PAKISTAN VS INDIA TEST SERIES – NAJAM SETHI HINTED TOWARDS A POSSIBLE SERIES

PAKISTAN VS INDIA TEST SERIES:

The head of the PCB management committee, Najam Sethi has hinted at a potential Pakistan vs India TEST series at a neutral venue, Australia will be preferred as the HOST country for this series between India and Pakistan.

This news was reported by Pakistani media outlets, and in a year where there is already so much fuss about the hosting of the Asia Cup 2023 and even the news of Pakistan boycotting the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023, this was a type of statement that no one could expect from any board official.

‘’ IF INDIA DOESN’T COME TO PAKISTAN, WE WILL NOT BE GOING TO INDIA FOR THE WORLD CUP 2023 ‘’, PCB chairman on India’s Asia Cup 2023 boycott.

But even after all this now the latest news seems to be a very positive one for the cricket fans of India and Pakistan as the PCB chairman hints at a potential TEST series between the two Asian giants in these circumstances, as we all know things are not good between both countries at the political level.

AUSTRALIA is named as the potential venue for the TEST matches of INDIA vs PAKISTAN because Australia can pull off a great crowd as well, there are other options as well as told by the PCB chairman but he thinks the best country available to host the TEST series between both countries will be Australia or even England can be a very good option.

‘’ YES, I THINK BILATERAL TEST MATCHES CAN BE PLAYED IN AUSTRALIA, ENGLAND, OR EVEN SOUTH AFRICA ‘’, Najam Sethi on PAK vs IND bilateral series.

  • Earlier PCB chairman has also given a statement related to the Asia Cup 2023 in which he expressed his desire to host the matches of the Asia Cup 2023 at a neutral venue so that the Indian Cricket Board can agree to play and which was very criticized by some former players as well as the fans, but as far as we know these are just statements in cricket and we can’t believe in anything till its officially disclosed to everyone.

INDIAN MEDIA’S STANCE ON THIS STATEMENT:

Even though Pakistani media has stated that Najam Sethi has given a green signal to a potential India vs Pakistan TEST series at a neutral venue, Indian media has reported that BCCI sources have rubbished news like these in the near future.

‘’ NO PLANS FOR SUCH KING OF SERIES TO HAPPEN IN THE FUTURE OR UPCOMING DAYS. WE ARENT READY FOR ANY KIND OF BILATERAL SERIES WITH PAKISTAN ‘’, a BCCI source reported to Indian media (ANI).

  • News like these are always the talk of the town because of the fan base of both countries and their interest in PAK vs IND competitions but as we know both teams don’t play against each other in any bilateral series and are just seen playing against each other in the ICC events, so in these circumstances, this news will be a very positive thing to think for the betterment of the cricket in both countries.

The last bilateral series between Pakistan and India was played way back in 2013 when Pakistan toured India for a complete white-ball series – the ODI series was won by Pakistan 2-1 and the T20I series was won drawn 1-1 in that last series.
