NEW TEAMS IN PSL, PSL 2024 NEW TEAMS:

Pakistan Super League is the biggest tournament of Pakistan cricket, currently, there are 6 teams included in the tournament but it is expected to be up to eight teams in the next season of the Pakistan Super League, the details in this regard are as follows;

The chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), Najam Sethi in a press conference said that he wants to add two more teams to the Pakistan Super League in the next edition.

Najam Sethi spoke to the media before the PSL FINAL 23 at the Gadaffi Stadium which was a clash between the two of the best teams of the 2023 PSL season, Lahore Vs Multan took place in Lahore as the PCB chairman expressed his future plans for the Pakistan Super League next editions.

Najam Sethi expressed his desire of adding two more teams to the Pakistan Super League, he further said: ‘’ I WILL DISCUSS THIS WITH THE CURRENT TEAMS OF THE HBL PSL AND AFTER THAT WE WILL BE ABLE TO ADD 2 MORE TEAMS IN THE NEXT PAKISTAN SUPER LEAGUE SEASON 9 ‘’ he spoke to media at GSL Lahore before PSL Final.

‘’ If you will ask me about my plans related to the next seasons of PSL, I am striving my best to add two more teams to the Pakistan Super League next season, but this decision is subject to approval from the current franchises and is impossible without doing the prior work in this regard ‘’.

‘’ I am willing to take this decision with the consent of every franchise because if any franchise suffers a loss by the addition of two more franchises then it will not be a good thing to do, so I am working on my plan and I will hope it will do good for Pakistan cricket ‘’ he further added.

‘’ We had a brief discussion with the franchises and after the conclusion of the HBL PSL 2023, we will start consulting the team owners and the board members so that we can start working on this plan about the addition of more PSL teams for the future PSL seasons ‘’

• THE CHAIRMAN OF THE PCB MANAGEMENT COMMITTEE REVEALED HIS PLANS FOR THE NEW ADDITIONS OF THE PSL TEAMS IN THE NEXT SEASONS BUT HE HAS SAID THAT THIS DECISION WILL BE TAKEN ONCE WE WILL CONVINCE ALL THE CURRENT TEAMS THAT ARE TAKING PART IN THE PAKISTAN SUPER LEAGUE AND THEN WE WILL WORK ON THE ADDITION OF TEAMS.
