Shadab Khan And Imad Wasim With Brilliant All Round Performances In MLC 2023
MLC 2023:
Both Pakistani all-rounders, Shadab Khan, and Imad Wasim showed some exceptional performances with the bat and bowl in the Major League Cricket 2023 and helped to win matches for their respective teams.
SHADAB KHAN’S MLC 2023 PERFORMANCE:
Shadab Khan played a very important role in the win of Sans Francisco against Mumbai Indians New York in the first match of the Major League Cricket (MLC 2023). He performed both with the bat as well as with the bowl to lead his team to the first victory of the season.
Sans Francisco started their innings with a very poor start when Trent Boult and Kagiso Rabada dismissed the top order of Sans Francisco but it resulted in bringing Shadab Khan and Corey Anderson at the crease and a brilliant partnership of 129 runs between both these players helped Sans Francisco to win the match by 22 runs against MI New York.
The Pakistani all-rounder, Shadab Khan played a magnificent knock for Sans Francisco, he scored a T20 fifty off just 24 deliveries under pressure. He played a match-winning knock of 61 runs on just 30 balls before getting dismissed by Trent Boult, who was in a great rhythm.
Shadab Khan even though started slow but gained momentum when he smashed both the Pakistani all-rounders, Ehsan Adil and Hammad Azam for some boundaries in back-to-back overs, and after that, he just kept going with the flow.
In his innings of 61 runs, Shadab Khan took Sarabjit to the cleaners in the 15TH over of the match. He smashed four boundaries in one over to complete his fifty on just 24 balls. Shadab Khan scored SIX, FOUR, SIX, and SIX to Sarabjit as he completed his first fifty in the Major League Cricket 2023.
Shadab Khan along with Corey Anderson formed a 129 runs partnership to get Sans Francisco out of the hole. Shadab Khan’s heroics were followed by Corey Anderson’s unbeaten 91 runs off 52 deliveries which helped Sans Francisco to post a huge total of 215-5 in 20 overs.
The 24-year-old continued his excellent form with the bowl as well as he picked up three wickets in the match by giving away just 32 runs in three overs, he bowled against MI New York. Shadab Khan ended up with figures of 3/32 in his three-over spell.
Shadab Khan praised Haris Rauf in his post-match presentation saying that Haris Rauf is an outstanding and world-class bowler and he always enjoys his company on the field. Haris Rauf went wicket less in the match as he bowled four overs for 32 runs.
IMAD WASIM’S MLC 2023 PERFORMANCE:
In the second match, another Pakistani all-rounder, Imad Wasim also gave some excellent performances with the bat and bowl to help his team win the match by five wickets against Washington Freedom.
The left-handed Pakistani all-rounder, Imad Wasim was adjusted man of the match for his brilliant bowling spell which was followed by an unbeaten knock of 43 runs that helped Seattle Orcas to bag two important points in the first match of the inaugural Major League Cricket 2023.
The left-hander opened the attack for the Seattle Orcas and straight away he picked up the wicket of M. Short who tried to whack him on the leg side but eventually loses his stumps and Wasim bags his first wicket in the first over of the match.
Imad Wasim in the match for Seattle Orcas picked up one wicket but he bowled with great line and lengths as he gave away just 19 runs in his quota of four overs.
Imad Wasim batted in the middle order and played a crucial innings of 43 runs off 38 deliveries. He ended up as the second-highest runs scorer for Seattle Orcas in a low-scoring game. He showed his composure and experience in the middle for Orcas when wickets were falling on the other end but he picked his spots and as a result, he eventually chased down the target in the last over of the match.
Imad Wasim won the player of the match award in his first appearance for the Seattle Orcas at the Major League Cricket 2023 season.
