Umar Akmal Met Former PM Nawaz Sharif In London:

The right-handed Pakistani batsman, Umar Akmal has met former Prime Minister, Nawaz Sharif in London.

The 33-year-old played his last international match for Pakistan in 2019 and is still hopeful that he can make his comeback in international cricket for Pakistan.

The Pakistani cricketer, Umar Akmal seemed to be satisfied after that meeting in London. He is hopeful that the former Prime Minister will look upon the requests which he has made to him in the meeting.

‘’ My meeting was good. Mian Saab gave time, for me this is an honor. I have requested Mian Saab (Nawaz Sharif), which I hope from Allah and from him that my request will be accepted ‘’, Umar Akmal said.

On being asked about the request, Umar Akmal replied that you all will get to know about the request when it will be accepted.

In response to another question, the Pakistani cricketer also wished that he wants to play for Pakistan, and whenever he will get a chance he is ready to play for Pakistan again.

‘’ Inshallah!! Whenever I will get the chance I will play international cricket for Pakistan and I also want to play as well. Alhamdulillah, my fitness is also good ‘’, he concluded.

Umar Akmal made his international debut for Pakistan in 2009. He started his cricket career brilliantly and made a huge name in international cricket but eventually failed to translate his talent into his performances for Pakistan.

Even though, Umar Akmal is still willing to play cricket for Pakistan again as he currently plays for Quetta Gladiators in the Pakistan Super League but he doesn’t seems to be in the future plans of the Pakistan Cricket Board.

The right-handed Pakistani batsman has represented Pakistan in 221 international matches and has scored around 6000 runs for Pakistan so far in his career.
