Changes Expected In Pakistan’s Management Just Before The Major Asia Cup 2023

Changes Expected In Pakistan’s Management:

According to media reports, once again, the new PCB officials want some changes in the management of the Pakistan team as they don’t want to continue with the previous management of the Pakistan team.

Not the first time news like this is coming that a new PCB management wants to hire their own members for the management of the Pakistan team which will eventually lead to the disturbance of the Pakistan team.

Whoever comes as the chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board should think about the betterment of the Pakistan cricket team but here everyone just thinks about unnecessary changes even though, they know this will be not good for the Pakistan team.

The previous Chairman of the management committee, Najam Sethi came and removed the previous management which includes Chief Selector Muhammad Wasim, and Saqlain Mushtaq. He named Haroon Rasheed as the Chief Selector of Pakistan, made a contract with Mickey Arthur as the Director of the Pakistan team, and appointed Grant Bradburn, and Morne Morkel as the Head Coach and Bowling Coach of the Pakistan team respectively.

After the removal of Najam Sethi, now there are reports that the new Chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board, Zaka Ashraf, now wants to remove Mickey Arthur, Grant Bradburn, and Rehan Ul Haq who have done great in Srilanka as Pakistan has thrashed Srilanka 2-0 in an away test series.

Pakistan cricket team is doing great under this management but there are media reports that Zaka Ashraf wants to appoint some former cricketers in the key roles of the Pakistan cricket team.

Misbah Ul Haq recently joined Pakistan Cricket Board as the head of the technical committee to make decisions on some important points in PCB. Names that are circulating in the media that have joined the technical committee in Pakistan Cricket Board are the former captains of the Pakistan team, Inzamam Ul Haq, Rashid Latif, and Muhammad Hafeez who was reported offered the role of Chief Selector of the Pakistan team as well.

Some other big names such as the former captain and coach of Pakistan, Waqar Younis, the former test cricketer of Pakistan, Abdul Rehman, and some other names are under consideration for the roles of management in PCB and Pakistan team.

There are strong reports that the current manager of the Pakistan team, Rehan Ul Haq will be removed from the post of manager. It is expected that Naveed Akram Cheema might return as the manager of the Pakistan team. Naveed Akram Cheema was appointed as the manager of the Pakistan team for the ICC World Cup 2015 as well. Under the management appointed by the former Chairman, Najam Sethi, the Pakistan cricket team has comprehensively won against New Zealand in a 5-match ODI series in Pakistan and now in Srilanka where they totally dominated Srilanka in a 2-match test series away from home.

Pakistan team under this management has thrashed New Zealand 4-1 in a home ODI series and beaten Srilanka 2-0 in an away TEST series. The next assignment of the Pakistan team is to play a three-match ODI series against the Afghanistan team followed by the Asia Cup 2023 and World Cup 2023.

As the major tournaments, such as the Asia Cup 2023, and the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 are just around the corner, PCB should not make many major changes in the management of the Pakistan team as this will disturb the team combination.
