TWO BOGs NOMINATED BY SHAHBAZ SHARIF – WHO WILL BE THE PCB CHAIRMAN

WHO WILL BE THE PCB CHAIRMAN:

Prime Minister, Shahbaz Sharif used his authority and nominated Zaka Ashraf and Mustafa Ramday as new members of PCB’s BOG, so it is now obvious that Zaka Ashraf is the next in line to become the Chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board.

Najam Sethi was appointed by the Prime Minister of Pakistan, Shahbaz Sharif for around 120 days, his main job was to restore the PCB constitution of 2014 and to start departmental cricket again in Pakistan, and it was already indicated that would be no further extension and now when his tenure is about to end, Najam Sethi, the current PCB chairman in a tweet has already announced on Twitter that from now on, he is not a candidate for the Chairman of PCB.

The Prime Minister of Pakistan, Shahbaz Sharif who is also a Patron of the Pakistan Cricket Board has used his authority once again and has nominated two members as the Board of Governors of PCB, Shahbaz Sharif has nominated Zaka Ashraf, the former chairman of the PCB and Mustafa Ramday, who served as Advocate Supreme Court are appointed in BOG of PCB by the Prime Minister of Pakistan.

  • The Chairman of the PCB management committee, Najam Sethi was also one of the candidates for the PCB chairman and he could extend his tenure, but suddenly he announces that he withdraws himself and is not in line for the post of PCB chairman.

Politics always play a very important role in the top management roles of the Pakistan Cricket Board and once again, as per the reports suggested, there was news that there is political tension between two political parties that are in power in Pakistan, PMLN and PPP, two of the ruling parties want their person as the Chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board and in these circumstances, Najam Sethi who is currently working as the head of the PCB management committee has decided that he will withdraw from the race of the chairman of Pakistan Cricket Board.

Earlier, In his tweet, Najam Sethi announced that he doesn’t want any kind of political tension between Asif Zardari (Head of PPP), and Shahbaz Sharif (PM of Pakistan) – he thinks he has caused a conflict in both parties for the top post of Pakistan Cricket Board and this is not good for the betterment of Pakistan Cricket Board so, he has announced that he is no longer a candidate for the chairmanship of PCB.

‘’ Salam everyone!! I don’t want to be a bone of contention between Asif Zardari and Shahbaz Sharif. Such instability and uncertainty is not good for Pakistan Cricket Board. Under the circumstances, I am not a candidate for the Chairmanship of PCB, Good Luck to all stakeholders ‘’, Najam Sethi announced on Twitter.

Now as announced by Najam Sethi, he is no longer a candidate for the PCB chairman so, it is expected that Zaka Ashraf who also served as the Chairman of PCB is now the front-runner to become the chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board again as he is also backed by Pakistan People’s Party.

NEW CHAIRMAN OF PAKISTAN CRICKET BOARD:

Zaka Ashraf is expected to be the new chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board. Muhammad Zaka Ashraf is a Pakistani executive who served as the chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board from October 2011 – February 2014 and was also elected as Chairman Development Committee of the Asian Cricket Council in 2012.

Zaka Ashraf worked as the head of the Pakistan Cricket Board under the government of the Pakistan People’s Party and now once again it seems to be Zaka Ashraf, who is again expected to be the chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board as nominated by the Prime Minister of Pakistan, Shahbaz Sharif.

There is also much news circulating in the media that Zaka Ashraf, who has the support of the leadership of the Pakistan People’s Party would be the next Chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board as the tenure of Najam Sethi comes to an end.
