The former captain of the Pakistan team, Babar Azam has recently resigned from the all-format captaincy of the Pakistan team.
Pakistan Cricket Team has returned to Pakistan after the World Cup 2023 and some of the Pakistani cricketers were also seen featuring in the 50-overs domestic tournament, Pakistan Cup.
The domestic T20 tournament of Pakistan, National T20 Cup 2023 is scheduled to be played from 24 NOVEMBER, 2023 – 10 DECEMBER, 2023.
As per the media reports, Babar Azam is likely to feature in the upcoming edition of the National T20 Cup 2023 edition.
The former Pakistani skipper, Babar Azam has also started his practice again in the nets ahead of the PAK vs AUS 2023 series and he might also play in the NT20 Cup for some batting practice.
There is still some time in the upcoming series of Pakistan but for Babar Azam to feature in the National T20 Cup 2023, he might have to take a leave from Pakistan’s Test Camp for the Australia tour.
Babar Azam is currently at the Pakistan Test Camp for Aus tour but after the camp ends, Babar Azam might look to feature in some of the matches of the National T20 Cup as a practice before leaving for Australia.
In the National T20 Cup 2021, Babar Azam played for Central Punjab and scored 286 runs in just 6 innings at an impressive strike rate of 143, along with a century and two fifties in the tournament.
