INDIAN TOP ORDER SHOULD LEARN FROM BABAR AND WILLIAMSON – NASSER HUSSAIN

Nasser Hussain, the British cricket commentator gave a controversial remark after India’s loss against Australia in the WTC Final, he says that the Indian top order should learn how to bat against the pace in TEST cricket against quality pacers.
Nasser Hussain was also the commentator for the Final of the World Test Championship match of India vs Australia, India was badly thrashed by Australian Team in the Final, Australian won by 209 runs as they lost another ICC Final as the Indian top order struggled big time against the Australian pace attack.
Indian top order although consisting of big names like Rohit Sharma, Shubman Gill, Cheteshwar Pujara, and one of the world’s best batsman, Virat Kohli in the World Test Championship Final. None of these top 4 batters of the Indian cricket team could even score even a single fifty in two innings of the World Test Championship Final and India lost the match by a huge margin of 200+ runs.
The former captain of the English cricket team, Nasser Hussain as we all know is a huge fan of Babar Azam, during the commentary of the World Test Championship Final mentioned Babar Azam, and Kane Williamson, when the Indian top order struggled again with quality pace bowling of the Australian Cricket Team.
The captain of Pakistan’s National Team in all formats, Babar Azam was once again mentioned by Nasser Hussain as once again Nasser took a dig at the performances of this top order of the Indian Team and said that they should learn from the technique of Babar Azam to bat against the pacers in difficult conditions.
The famous cricket commentator, Nasser Hussain also mentioned one of the best batsmen of the New Zealand Cricket Team, Kane Williamson who is famous for his gameplay against pace bowlers as he plays the ball so late under his eyes, he has one of the best techniques in world cricket to play in difficult conditions.
- Kane Williamson was the batter who took his home in the last World Test Championship Final against the same Indian team when the pitch was difficult for batting, Kane showed how to stay calm and composed as his knock of 52 runs in the final, including eight fours helped his team win the match by 8 wickets.
Although Nasser Hussain is a commentator and it’s his job to express his opinions on the game but he mentioned that after this statement Indian fans might abuse him but he is still not afraid to talk about something that is for the betterment of the Indian top order for the future.
‘’ Really disappointed with the way Indian batters performed, their fans might come after me for saying this but I think Indian to order needs to look at Babar Azam and Kane Williamson on how they play the pacers when the ball is moving around. Indian batting unit failed miserably against the high-quality pace bowling by the Australian pace attack, the highest score by the top order of the Indian Cricket Team in the World Test Championship Final was 49 runs which were scored by Virat Kohli, and we all know these knocks are not enough to win a Final of the Test Championship.
Australian Cricket Team is now the first team in World cricket to win all the ICC trophies in this cricket history, they have already won the ICC Men’s ODI World Cup 5 times, along with winning ICC Champions Trophy, ICC Men’s T20 World Cup, ICC Women’s T20 World Cup as well as the ICC Women’s ODI World Cup and now they have also won the ICC World Test Championship as they become the first team to stack all the ICC trophies in their cabinet.
