Pakistan Super League is one of the biggest T20 tournaments all around the world, and as always the inclusion of new teams in HB PSL is the talk of the town, and Once again there were rumors about a new team in HBL PSL 2024.
The former PCB Chairman, Najam Sethi, indicated that he will be looking to add more teams in the PSL 2024 and is also working on that but the current PCB Chairman, Zaka Ashraf hasn’t given any green signal in this regard.
To add new teams, all the stakeholders must agree to add more teams in the HBL PSL 2024 and at the moment there is no such news available from the Pakistan Cricket Board.
According to Cricket Pakistan, the current PSL team owners aren’t in favor of any new team in the HBL PSL 2024 and that’s why there is no current news of the addition of a new team in the PSL 2024, and all such news is just rumor.
As per the current news available, it is not possible to add new teams to the PSL 2024 and the addition of a new team in the Pakistan Super League will be possible after the 10th edition of the HBL PSL.
JAVED AFRIDI ABOUT THE NEW TEAM IN PSL 2024:
The rumors started when the owner of the Pakistan Super League franchise, Javed Afridi revealed the names of the two new teams in the upcoming season, PSL 2024.
On his social media handle, Javed Afridi confirmed that the two new teams that will be added to the Pakistan Super League and the names of the two new teams will be Sialkot and Faisalabad.
This news made huge headlines because Javed Afridi is a huge name in the Pakistan Cricket and people started to believe that there can be a chance to see new teams in the HBL PSL 2024.
However, according to the current reports, there is no chance of adding 7TH team to the PSL 2024, and everything regarding the PSL 2024 new teams is just rumors.
The upcoming season of the Pakistan Super League 2024 is scheduled to be played at the start of the 2024 year. The league is expected to be played in JANUARY – FEBRUARY, 2024.
