SHAHEEN SHAH AFRIDI PERFORMANCE IN THE VITALITY BLAST 2023

SHAHEEN SHINES IN THE VITALITY BLAST 2023:

Shaheen Shah Afridi, the premium left-arm pacer of the Pakistan team as we all know is a proven match-winner and that’s why he is in demand by all T20 franchises around the world, current Afridi is playing Vitality Blast 2023 and had some poor games in the start but yesterday once again proved his ability as a match winner for his team.

The left-arm Pakistani fast bowler has been playing games one after another which can cause many fitness issues and some former cricketers have also pointed this out but still, he is going strong and is performing his best in every match he has played in the 2023 T20 Blast whether with the bat or bowl.

In his sixth match of the 2023 Vitality Blast season, Shaheen Shah Afridi for his team Nottinghamshire has picked up his best bowling figures of the season and made an impact with his bowling to win the match for his team – he has also picked up eight wickets in the tournament so far for his team in the Vitality Blast 2023 season.

In the previous match, the premium Pakistani pacer was thrashed for 45 runs in his quota of 4 overs but he still performed well as he scored a quick-fire knock of 29 runs off just 11 balls, he also made a record as he smashed Michael Bracewell for four sixes in an over before getting out but this wasn’t enough to win the match so last night he helped his team to win the match with his bowling efforts.

Shaheen Shah Afridi ended his quota of four overs, he picked up three wickets in the match last night after giving away 39 runs – Nottinghamshire posted a massive total of 214 runs and Shaheen didn’t bat in the match for his team but in the second innings, after a brilliant first overs he made an instant impact with the ball in the second over, Afridi picked up the wicket of both openers of the opposition team, Moeen Ali and Alex Davies were gone in the power-play courtesy brilliant bowling by Shaheen Shah Afridi.

He bowled brilliantly in the power-play with the new ball and claimed the wickets of both openers, then he returned in the death overs and once again turned the game on his own as he picked up another wicket which helped his team to sit at a better position at the end of the match and eventually his team won the match by 11 runs as they defended a total of 215 runs in the sixth match of the season, on the back of a brilliant bowling spell bowled by Shaheen Afridi.

In the sixth match of the season for Nottinghamshire, the Pakistani quick picked up three crucial wickets for his team and ended up with 3/39, his best bowling performance this season that too in a high-scoring game when both the teams crossed the 200-run mark in the match.

Shaheen Shah Afridi has once again proved that even though there has been some dip in his bowling but still he is a match-winner for any team and no one can deny the quality of Shaheen Shah Afridi as a bowler which he showed again last night against Birmingham Bears.

  • IN THE 6 MATCHES HE HAS PLAYED SO FAR, SHAHEEN SHAH AFRIDI HAS PICKED UP 8 WICKETS IN THE TOURNAMENT THAT TOO WITH AN AVERAGE OF 27.5 AND AN ECONOMY RATE OF MORE THAN 9 RUNS BUT STILL, HE IS WINNING MATCHES FOR HIS TEAM.
  • THE ECONOMY OF SHAHEEN AFRIDI IS ON THE HIGHER SIDE BUT IN HIGH-SCORING GAMES THAT TOO ON BATTING-FRIENDLY PITCHES OF ENGLAND ISN’T MUCH AND WE CAN IGNORE THAT AS WE KNOW THE QUALITY OF THE LEFT-ARM PACER.
